LimoCop Wins “Best Un-Produced Screenplay” at Grove Film Festival 2019

LimoCop was very happy to win the “Best Un-Produced Screenplay” award at Grove Film Festival – 2019 (December).

LimoCop is the latest script that I’ve been working on over the last year. Fellow co-creators Michael Craig, Canz and I, over drinks, for the better part of the last decade, have been bouncing ideas off of friends for LimoCop and finally late in 2018 we decided to put pen to paper on LimoCop.

I was very happy to attend the film festival with my long time buddy and fellow actor, Ric Ravier. LimoCop had a couple “Not Selected” results this week with other festivals, so was really happy to get this award. Gotta work on the acceptance speeches though, ha. Less beers, shorter speech, and maybe a little more thinking ahead of time of what I’m actually going to say. Thanks again, Larry Rosen and everybody working behind the scenes at the Grove Film Festival.

LimoCop Wins “Feature Screenplay” at AC Cinefest 2019

LimoCop won the “Feature Screenplay” competition at AC Cinefest/ Downbeach Film Festival – 2019 and we couldn’t be happier.

I was happy to be able to attend the film festival on Sunday and stick around for the awards ceremony at Dante Hall in Atlantic City. The AC Cinefest/ Downbeach Film Festival, hosted by Bill and Joelle Sokolic, is a great regional film festival, so we couldn’t be happier to officially now be part of this festivals’ history.

“The North Star” Movie Trailer

The North Star - Movie Trailer - Kevin Lapsley

The North Star” movie trailer was released. Don’t let the trailer quality fool you. I was right there standing directly next to the cinematographer, Keiko Nakahara, for pretty much every shot and this could be a much better film than the trailer depicts.

“The North Star” post-production just still might be getting their feet under them, but I am sure the trailer will change as this movie will probably make a long festival and screening run on it’s way to distribution at some point.

This period piece about slavery has a good story and was able to put together a strong cast Jeremiah Trotter, John Diehl, Lynn Whitfield, Keith David, Douglas Gibson, Thomas C. Bartley Jr. and one of my local favorites Christopher Mann.

“Deer Crossing” Movie Trailer

Working on “Deer Crossing” for director Christian Grillo and producer John Michael Kent was a fun experience. Gotta give it to them for rallying the team and knocking this project out in a couple weekends.

For a shoe-string budget we had quite a large crew, a lot of locations and John Michael Kent was able to procure the services of horror film legend Doug Bradley, a.k.a Pinhead, and, of all people, famed actor Ernie Hudson on this project. A lot of hard work and long days running all over Bucks, Philadelphia and Delaware Counties in and around Philadelphia, PA, but we got the project done.

Also, had a blast getting to work with Christopher Mann and K.J. Linhein for a couple weeks. Am very glad to have worked with these guys in the past and hopefully again in the future. Both of these guys delivered and then some in their roles in this movie and in everything they do. Hopefully continued success for these guys in the future and more.

“The Last One..?” Official Movie Trailer

The Last One..? - Kevin Lapsley

A labor of love on this one. The Last One..? movie finally has a trailer up on their youtube page. Did it all on this project. Wrote, produced, directed, acted, edited and about everything else on this project. Had a lot of great people help get this one off the ground. Still not finished getting this movie out there for everybody to enjoy it, but at least for now people can check out the trailer.
